I'm having a nightmare and really need some help from someone a bit more savvy than me. I've been looking at various threads and cant make my arse from my elbow. I seriously have tried guys and not just being lazy.

So, I've bought a new SD card and I want to use apps2sd+ which is built into the LeeDroid rom that I have managed to flash using ClockworkMod Recovery.

The problem I have is making a partition on my card. I've downloaded Rom Manager but when it goes to do its stuff, it reboots with an exclamation mark and a droid.

What/where am I doing or going wrong?

Is your phone seeing your sd card, make sure it is seated correctly in your phone.

    Yup, seeing it fine.

Maybe there's a better way to partition but would I need to re-install LeeDroid or is Apps2Sd+ built in. I dont see it in my app drawer either but I deffo installed the right version.

Its not an app you can "use" or see. Its just there and does its stuff.

Personally, I prefer partitioning my card a different way. A way that is part of Lekky's rooting guide. I'll paste it in here in a mo.

    1. Partition Your SD Card

      • Turn on your phone while holding the volume down button.
      • You will see HBOOT on the screen.
      • Use the volume buttons to move up and down and power button to select the RECOVERY option.
      • You will now see a red triangle on the screen, at this point plug your phone into your PC via your microUSB cable.
      • Double click on recovery-windows.bat inside the pushfiles_windows.zip folder you unzipped as part of the root process.
      • Using the optical trackpad select Partition sdcard > Partition SD
      • Select SWAP=0, EXT2=512 and allow the rest to be FAT32.
      • Select the SD:ext2 to ext3 option in this menu.
      • Go back to the Recovery Console main menu and select Reboot system now. While rebooting, unplug the Desire from the USB port.
      • And thats it! You now have a rooted Desire with apps2sd. Get in!

I used the rom manager to partition mine, the only thing is though you don't get the option to rename ext2 to ext3 with that so you need to make sure the rom supports ext2.
If the rom doesn't support ext2 you will be stuck with the standard froyo apps2sd.
