Hello, have had my phone for about 6 weeks. I'm new to having a smartphone so please bear with me.

Starting with my 2nd billing cycle, I noticed that the phone is uploading over 1G every day! Sometimes more. I called AT&T and Samsung and they were passing the ball back and forth and neither could help me.

I have Lookout, Juice Defender and Advanced Task Killer installed-FYI. I probably don't have them configured correctly optimally.

I have no idea why this is happening. It's like something has taken over my phone...

Any specific suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

I can't think of anything that would be responsible for that. Defective phone or some kind or malware possibly.

Thanks, but I still need help. Yesterday, my phone *sent* over 2G of data away from the phone...

I did uninstall several apps last night but I just checked and from the time I started using the phone, an additional 200MB have been sent.

    Lookout says everything is fine.

Than it must be some sort of cloud service. Do you have titanium media sync? Or google music?

If you have no honest idea what this is and are not using streming or sync services (maybe google music) the easiest thing I can tell you to do is to do a factory reset..wipe clean start from scratch. When reinstalling apps take not of each apps permissions.

    Another thought I had,

do you have wifi hotspot? is it active? is it secured with a password? if not anyone within range could be connecting to it using your data.
