I am a newly joined member today in need of help.

I have just now accidentally deleted a word memo in my phone with important information in it. Is there any way this can be recovered?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

If you have a rooted device you can try Undelete. It's beta software so you use it at your own risk, but it's worth a try.

My phone is not rooted, does anyone know an app that can recover deleted files?

There are many utilities for your computer that can undelete from SD cards. Perhaps if you mount the phone to your PC or use a card reader along with a piece of software that does that, you will find success. Most of them cost money though.

I would search for "undelete" at Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com to see if you can find something for free.
