Root Help please :)

So I am trying to change my boot animation still and for some reason I have no access to change the file or directory. any idea how I can change this? im rooted running Kangerade 5.0.9 with p3 1.25ghz kernel.

Download root explorer from the market. Its like astro file manager but you can access your system files and make them readable/writable.

not able to find root explorer in the market and it seems like its a paid app so im not about to just download the APK.

Don't remember if Kangerade has godmode script or not, but that's something to look into.
