Try downloading the update.zip file again. Make usre that you don't accidentally unzip the file. Delete the old file off your phone and place the new file on there. Then try installing via recovery again.

yeah I tried that but one problem that I have run into with is the nanroid or the recovery part and I dont know where that part comes from.

I was trying this but I'm kinda just shooting into the dark.

I tried the steps there and I completely started from scratch and nothing. Should I update my phone to 2.1 stock then try to install the root? or I have to have 2.0.1?

You have to be on 2.0. Have you tried a different sd card?

I got everything to work now and Im using clockwork and ROM manager. But when I try to install another ROM I have to delete the old one and when that's done and the other one installs, it gets stuck in boot loop. Then I have to reroot any other easier way to fix this problem?

Man I have no idea what you're talking about deleting the old ROM. Are you installing through ROM manager? It's really pretty idiot proof if you do it that way.

That's sounds pretty crazy.....u shouldn't have to delete anything.... Rom manager does everything for u... all u have to do is download a rom and check wipe data and cache and check back up. U only need to gain root access once.....
