    you cant...put simply! it needs converting to a recognisable container for the phone to play eg 3gp or better yet mp4

    i already did that but only one file of mkv is playing. when i play the 2nd file it wont play anymore

    you must realised that mkv is but a type of container. Inside this 'container' different type of codecs may be required to play the file. There may not be one app to play them all (mkv files) if that is what you want. in some case, there is no choice but to go thru the tedious process of conversion.

    I've used VideoBox for some time, has played everything I've thrown at it, including MKV. Cannot say what the actual codecs were, mind. 720p, mostly.
