Hi guys! Can any kind soul tell me how do i root my SGS2 version 2.3.3 GINGERBREAD? Just got it not long. I understand that apps downloaded are stored in the device memory (ard 2GB) or USB storage/SD (ard 11GB) and even if i move to external SD, a portion of those apps remain.

So if that's the case, only rooting the device am i able to fully move the apps from the device memory and USB storage/SD to the external SD card right? Please correct me if im wrong!

In that case, please tell me the steps i need to undertake. Will greatly appreciate your help if u could tell me what to download and best that you could give me the exact links!

    Cheers!

    Welcome to AF :D

Because of the differences in the versions of the SGS2 with each carrier the different phones have specific forums with info on each one. Below are links to all of the SGS2 forums here at AF

I think even with root part of all applications will remain on the phone memory but most of it can be moved to the SD
