I have the HTC Droid DNA, and i recently backed up by going through windows on my pc and copying all the files on my phone onto my computer, simple as that

however today my friend diud a factory reset on it... long story short, when i move the files back to their original location, my phone hasnt changed, the files all appear on my phone, but only pictures and songs actually transferred to my phone. none of my apps are there, my wallpaper went back to default, settings are default, etc

any help or am i screwed?

You should be able to use the Play Store to restore all of your Apps. Except for those which you side loaded. Good luck.

As long as they were stored on the internal SDcard and are still there you should be fine.
