I never upgrade my phone before. But today I decided to upgrade firmware through the Kies but its end awfully.
Kies succesfully downloaded update but when it starts to download the new firmware to the phone its stood on 1%.
On the screen of the device I saw Android logo and under it "Do not turn off target". But after waiting 2 hours it was still on 1%.
Then I canceled the download and disconected device from CPU.
And now I can't turn on my device, its keeps showing "Device and computer picture with attention icon in the middle of them". I removed battery and put it back, but when I am turning on device it shows the same picture of "Device-----Attention icon-----Computer".
The phone in 1 year warranty and I give it to the service centre already, but I am still worry. What do you think can the guys from the service centre repair the phone or not? :(

It come straight from the box. Its the first time I tried to update firmware through the Kies and here is result.
Do you think that service centre will resolve this problem?

are u sure u did everything as it should be done ? for example did u had ur batt charged to 100% before updating ? and as i wrote before, if u have it on warranty u will get new one propably or there`s always a small chance that its not bricked and service will save it.

See if you can go into download mode. (Vol down+home+power)
If you can, flash it with the appropriatae firmware via Odin

If you cant, then it seems likely that is bricked.
Your last resort before returning it would be to get a USB Jig off ebay. They are not expensive (approx

but still i dont get your worries. if u have it on warranty why are u worried so much huh ? and assuming ur phone was quite new, u propably didnt had many things stored there( photos, etc.) so if u get ur back rapaired or get new one... whats the diffrence ? u will get it anyway so cheer up and be patient + wait till it comes back :)

Is there any way to upgrade the phone without risking your phone.
If its such a problem to do through Kies then how much the risk to brick your phone when upgrading through Odin?
