Can someone tell me how to stop all OTA updates because they just fail anyways? Plus I don't want them.

I am comfortable changing the build prop. I just need to know what the latest build prop should read. If someone could post that for me I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    Are you rooted?
If so, do you have ROM toolbox?

In an answer to your question you can stop the update notification with a program called Autostarts it's a paid app mind you, but if you're able to get ahold of it you just install it load it up it'll do a quick scan of system processes then after it's done you tap the "After startup" dropdown and scroll down and tap on the 3rd Google Services Framework, it'll be the one for com.google.android.gsf.update.SystemUpdateService$Receiver, tap disable to disable it, then confirm it, now just close the program and reboot and you should get no more update notifications... it'll block the notification at every boot, hope this helps ya, it works good on my phone.

    This is what Slayer78 found.

You can use auto starts or use ROM toolbox and go into the auto start apps menu and find it.

downloaded Rom Toolbox but can't seem to find where to block OTA?
Also tried Autostarts app but when i follow your directions Alex is says it can't change its state to disabled. Says I most likely don't have root access but i do?

Any other help would be great and thanks everyone for trying to help

I've done everything AlexRay stated in this thread and the update still comes in and asks for me to update it.

Did the Autostart thing and there is a line through the third google call out, so that's diabled.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    Greg
