Help Help! text messages are garbled (bunch of question marks)

I just got a HTC Hero, and I'm starting to find out that when I send text messages to some phones, the messages are garbled... It seems to be with certain phones, so far with Samsung Flight and Galaxy. has anyone ever experienced this?? This is really starting to annoy me... I never had this issue with Blackberry. Is there a workaround? What's the issue? encoding?
Any info would be appreciated!!!!

If the problem only occurs when messages are received by certain handsets, then the issue must be with those phones and not yours. I don't think that there is anything that you can do at your end to fix it, unfortunately.
