    Wondering if anyone can help.

I currently have an Xperia Z5 compact and I want to transfer contacts etc to my new S7.
Xperia Transfer Mobile isn't compatible with Samsung and Samsung Smart Switch isn't compatible with Sony.
    Any ideas?

Have you considered using the cloud?
Google cloud, Onedrive, or an app like iCloud. They can all be used to backup/restore your personal data. Need any help with that please post.

If you can give a brief run down, that'd be great, thank you

If you have a PC backup program for your old phone, then check out this site: –
    http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/

You can download Smart Switch for your PC from this site: –
    http://publish.samsungsimulator.com...moving_contents_using_samsung_smart_switch_pc

Alternatively, you could sign up for Google and backup your old phone and then restore it using Google on your S7: –
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/248984/how_to_back_up_your_android_phone.html

Alternatively, you could download the app iCloud from the Google play store, backup your old phone and then re-download the app on your Galaxy S7 and use the app to restore your information. The instructions on the iCloud app are very simple and easy to follow.

Unfortunately, you will not always be able to transfer all your apps using these methods.
