Root Help Troubleshooting Please

So here's my issue. I recently bought an EVO 4g from a guy off craigslist and he had it rooted with "Revolution" and cyanogen7 and he kept the SD card When he sold it to me. It was having some glitches, so i just downloaded and zipped MikG-v2.59 last night but i'm having some problems. So after i rebooted it and i go to unlock it to get to the main screen, it gives me 3 messages and this is quote for quote:

[Triangle Exclamation symbol] Sorry!
The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
and has a "Force close" button. so I press it and it says:

[Triangle Exclamation symbol] Sorry!
The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
"Force close" button. i press it:

[Triangle Exclamation symbol] Sorry!
The application Touch Input (process com.htc.android.htcime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Then it just shuffles back and forth between the 3 getting me nowhere.

So i went back in and "toggled signature verification" and rezipped it but i still have the same problem.
So any advice would be really helpful. I'm pretty new to the rooting game but i'm almost positive i did everything right.
Here's a question i couldnt find an answer to:
Can I root a different root over "Revolution" cuz maybe this root is causing these glitches?

Welcome. On my phone. Look at rxpert83 thread regarding issues. Near top here. Think you just need to wipe properly. It will tell you how. Goof luck.

Yep should be in my sig. Looks like a wiping issue to me.

What recovery does the phone have? Clockwork or Amon Ra?

i would also recommend that you read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. i would read the after rooting section. it has a ton of info that will be useful now that you have a rooted evo. and like everyobe said it sounds like you did not wipe properly. in the guide there is a how to on flashing roms as well as argedions' guide, please read those. also any questions you have please feel free to ask.

There is no need to try to "RE Root" your phone. Rooting your phone simply turns off Security's (S-OFF) that is it. It does not do anything to the ROM itself. Turning Securities off means that you can write to /Boot and /System. Without turning off Securities these are impossible to modify.

A misconception I see a lot is people thinking that they had a "Bad" Root. If S = Off then there was not a bad root. Rooting your Phone has nothing to do with Changing the /System files it only gives you access (Permission) to do so.

If you downloaded MikG I would recommend the new 3.0 version found here http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...1]&txt=v3.00&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13243425545071)

When you say you downloaded and zipped MikG, do you mean you unzipped it? You don't have to do anything with the file in order to flash. The recovery will require that the file be in a zip format, so don't modify or extract anything prior to flashing. Just download, wipe data/factory reset, cache, dalvik cache and flash. I would also recommend Calkulin's format all as a file to flash prior to flashing the rom. It is found here:
