    Hello

After rooting my phone (unrevoked method) and then was about to flash a custom ROM i decided that all this rooting stuff is way beyond me and i want to unroot my phone and factory reset it back the way it was when i bought it.

I have looked at running an stock RUU but it just wont work i have downloaded 3 RUU's now and none of them work, 2 of them wont even open when you click run and one of them runs through the programme and then tells me "ERROR [131]:CUSTOMER ID ERROR" and it cant update my phone.

Can anyone help me please? Its a Vodafone desire that had Froyo 2.2 on it but i think it unbranded as it has no vodafone messages on startup and no Vodafone apps preinstalled. I have tried generic RUU's and Vodafone RUU's but neither will work anyway.

When ive run the RUU it goes through all the phone checks and finds the image version to update to i click next it starts to load and then stops when its saying updating signature and then the error in my first post.

I didnt think i needed a goldcard as i thought my phone was a generic version, but i have created one anyway and tried again and its the same result, it does come up with a different error though "ERROR[140]:BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR"

I think it might be the wrong RUU but all 3 ive tried don't work.

It sounds like your trying to flash an RUU that is older than the software on the phone, maybe someone has the link to the latest 405. I'm not my my usual PC.
