Help HELP: Vibrant asks to be Connected in "PC STUDIO" mode to KIES

HI EVERYBODY,
my friend is having a problem with his Samsung Vibrant, he is trying to update his Vibrant to Froyo 2.2

He brought his Phone here at my house where i updated my Samsung i9000, but when i connect his Phone to my Computer KIES gives me this message:

RECONNECT THE DEVICE IN SAMSUNG KIES (PC STUDIO) MODE
CURRENT CONNECTION MODE IS NOT SUPPORTED BY KIES

What can we do to update his Phone?

Hi,
I had this same problem and have read a few other posts directing me to delete file names over 16 characters... tried that still not working. I also deleted all my cache on apps

Then i read another saying about debugging mode. So i checked in Settings>Applications>Developement and switched on debugging mode still could not connect.

I switched off debugging mode and suddenly in works fine.... I dont know exactly what fixed it by i hope this helps a bit.

Had the same problem but this resolved my connection. Cheers man
