Help Help. Video File Wont Open?

I made a video on my Samsung Galaxy 2 that went for 1 hour but before I could save the video my phone died. When I turned on the phone, the file wouldn't open. There is defiantly something on there as the file is 1.25 gigs.
I transferred the file onto a computer, changed the format from .3GP to .mov but still doesn't open. I just get the following message each time - The document

VLC media player may play it, but if it can't then there's little hope.

How did you change it to a mov file?

If you renamed it, change it back, use VLC, agree 100%.
