Hi Guys I have a question, I want to use crazyremote app to connect an android device to a pc, I have downloaded the server and set i up with pass and everything, but the question is, regardless of this kind of security, people would be able to sniff or even hack including the company that made crazy remote?, I not sure about this since i am not a security expert, so I don't know if I am fully protected in private with this.

    1. Download the Forums for Android™ app!

The server exe on your PC is just like any other program you download. Always scan before you install.

The app on the phone will probably just use your local network, I bet you had to set it up with an IP address like 192.168.0.1 or something. It won't get past your router's firewall so it should be completely safe.

Thanks I am safe then but is the company able to collect usage data from what I do?, It's a korean company so I don't know if they can be sniffing from time to time, I have read that splashtop remote records data like how many clicks you make and stuff like that!,I don't truly know if they can see the same signal that I am privately viewing

Well, since you are also using a desktop application, you can't really know what does what. You could check the permissions of the app (it shouldn't send data online unless there is such a function), but it wouldn't mean a lot because of the application on your desktop computer.

You've got to trust them or not. Or just don't do anything important using that app, such as online banking.

Yeah I think the sniffing of data usage can be made by the app on the device and not on the computer, I should check what connections are going with the app alone
