Help Help with in-call volume front Vs. back

I think I've found a new problem (or my search skills really suck.)

I noticed today that I have a lot better call volume if I hold the back of my phone to my ear (camera side). If I hold it like I normally do (screen side to head) I can barely hear anything at all.

I've power-cycled the phone, checked my settings, turned speakerphone on and off, changed call volume to max during a call, etc., etc. I'm pretty new to Android and the Optimus V (not rooted or anything), but this seems really effed up to me.

Anyone have some thoughts or notice the same thing? If not, give it a try and see. Call a number and listen to each side of the phone.

Very sure. I've switched back and forth during calls to test it. Speakerphone is way loud. This sounds more like it is playing the normal earpiece volume through the external speaker.

Try downloading a volume control app and see if adjusting the system volume helps.Try Volume controller by BH_Lin. It has totally separate controls for Ringer,Notification,Music(media),In-Call,Alarm, and System Volume.
