Help Help with kodi

Have an android TV box (m8) it's running kodi 14.2 and can't get to update without uninstalling everything any one have any idea how n av tried installing overwhelming existing one ¿??????????????

Mines been broken for about 5 days since kodi16 update and still is.

Many of these Kodi boxes from China can be rather flaky and buggy. Probably best to return for a refund.
