I need help with a widget, I almost have it but am having one problem. I have a task setup like this:
    1. Variable Set / %MNMLESUBJ to %ESUBJ / append: On
    2. Minimalistic Text / %MNMLESUBJ to %ESUBJ
This will bring up the subject of the last email in my widget.

The problem is that it only displays the most recent subject. I would like it to display a list of the last 5 subjects, not just the most recent one. I have a task setup where when I get an email it writes the subject in a text file that creates a list, but cannot seem to get my widget to do this. (I have also tried with Zooper, but can't even get it to display any subjects.) I have the autoshare plugin, but haven't worked with it yet.

    Thanks for any help.

Are you wanting each subject to be on a new line, or on a single line separated by a particular character? If you want new lines, you're going to need to use one variable per line.

Thanks for the reply. I would like each subject on a different line.

Is this what I would need to change it to?
    1. Variable Set / %MNMLESUBJ1 to %ESUBJ / append: On
    2. Minimalistic Text / %MNMLESUBJ1 to %ESUBJ
    3. Variable Set / %MNMLESUBJ2 to %ESUBJ / append: On
    4. Minimalistic Text / %MNMLESUBJ2 to %ESUBJ

Is it possible to pull the information from the text file into the widget since the text file saves each one on a new line?

Actually, as I'm looking more at it, you'll probably want to use an Array instead of a Variable. Beginner's guide to Tasker, part 7: Variable arrays - Pocketables has a bit on working with Arrays.

The rough workflow would (I think) be something like this:

    1) Receive email. Array Push subject to %ARRSUB.
    2) If %ARRSUB contains more than 5 elements, Array Pop the first (oldest one) out.
    3) Use Minimalistic Text to display %ARRSUB1, %ARRSUB2, %ARRSUB3, etc.
