    Hello,

    I can purchase a new moto x (2013) from ebay for 259.00
Is this a good deal vs buying from verizon a moto x (2014) for 600.00?

Is this a good phone or should I be looking at HTC One M8 or Droid Turbo?
Both of these are 600.00 also.

Is it necessary to spend 600.00 or would the 259.00 serve me well?

    Thanks

Swappa.com is a good place to look too. There is a new 32gb for 285. (2013). There are 2 2014's for ~480. that are mint condition 32gb.

But to answer your question, yes, it's still an amazing phone and will be getting Lollipop.

It's only necessary to spend what you are comfortable spending ;)

Thanks, I guess I am more comfortablespending 259.00, but would regret it if spending 250.00 more would give me a much better phone.

    Always a tough call.

I still love my X and honestly have no desire to replace it. The 2014 is a bit bigger and I'm not sure I'd want that. The Turbo is a beast for sure. What do you need/want in the phone? What, to you, is worth paying for or not? Bleeding edge is always fun but comes with a cost.

If I had to buy a phone right now I really think I'd get another 2013 X.

Keep looking on eBay... I got the 2013 moto x developer edition (32gb) for $230 a few weeks ago. But I was in the same quandary as you...I don't regret getting the 2013 moto x at all.
