Help with removing a thing from status bar.

Hi everyone, android noob here. So just got a android tablet (Ainol Novo 7 Advanced) and I'm currently trying to learn how to customize it. One thing that have been bugging the hell out of me is this status bar that I can't seem to change. I know because I'm new I can't post any links so sorry for trying to do it anyway. luteola (dot) net/tablet.jpg The carrier thing I mostly want gone because as this is a tablet without 3g it worthless for me. Any help in this is greatly appreciated and like I said I'm totally new to this so as easy as you can. Thanks for your help.

You have to root your device in order to modify the notification bar.

You can't change the status bar without rooting.
