Help help with security option

Hi Guys

Maybe im being a clutz but im a stickler for keeping my handset secure like anyone else and always put a code and the finger swipe recognition

with my old X8 if the screen timed out and i hit a button it would always ask me for my finger swipe code

now though even though it is set if the standby comes on and i click the on off switch it just lets me straight in no security asked

is it because im using a launcher other than the Xperia one

it does come up with the slide to unlock but no further security is then prompted

That is weird, stock launcher or not it should work.

If it was me I would un tick it, reboot, tick it again.
Just to check.
