Anyone? I need to complete today before I go away.

Has anyone else been able to debrand and then update rom to 2.2 from HBOOT 0.80 with the voda 1.24.161.3 rom?

Should I just have a crack at using the gold card - rooting and thn updating as per the other guides - with no need to downgrade the HBOOT?

    Help!!

    Thanks

I would say as you are on HBOOT 0.80 the way you described will be fine but I am not giving any guarantees.

there are plenty of threads on here about the Vodafone saga so read through them as I am sure i have seen people in the same boat as you.

Can you not wait for the VF 2.2 update that will remove the 360 apps? It will be with us within the next 7-10 days

As above, try and wait for the official update.

But if not what I did was to root mine, didn't like the version I had so I then downgraded the hboot and installed an official rom, then upgraded to 2.2
