Hi everyone. First post

I am looking for a bit advice.
my sensation XL turns on. I can see my wall paper but no apps or home screen. I cant change the volume. and none of the 4 buttons do anything either. its just stuck on this wall paper screen..
I have tried doing the Recovery and factory reset options Using hard reset. but to no avail.

The phone is not rooted. boot loader is unlocked if this helps.

Is there a way to essentially re install the phone software?

any help is very much appreciated
