What do you think would account for the difference in wifi speeds. That seems like quite the jump from 16190Kbps to 5547Kbps..
hmm.. maybe time of day..?
not at all....the evo is slower every time. it always has had more loss.
my pics are all jumbled... i will try and get some more
I surmise that's more phone related than carrier related...
Down load and upload speeds have never been a concern of mine until this morning. I'm camping in a yurt, out in the boonies (Bedford, Pa). I'm only getting 1X speeds. Epic
3G and WiFi have always been fast enough for me since I got the EVO. Comming from Nextel, the speeds I get now are grease lightning.
oh of course...when we are talking wifi.
3g.....not so much, but as of now i had only tested a few sprint devices....but theyhave so far been consistent to my theory...sprint is failing to keep up .
A year ago att speed tests that i did in this area were 70% slower.
it thickens.....i got a reminder letter today that my service IS being canceled .....lmao.

i know right. i talked to them on the 19th.. the letter is dated the 20th. screw em..i am goingvto try and pick uo a photin on the 31st on my upgrade.. let em cancel me buwahahaha. i will sell the photon and the evo
2 days and counting until t-day.
Sadly my evo is in its new owners hands tonight. This isnt goodbye. I will still be around to help where I can....but I no longer have the Evo in hand so bear with me.
You regulars around here will have to keep me updated of major changes....and everyone should know to pm me for immediate response. I am now active accross 5 forum sub topis here and xda...along with my car stuff. just because you dont see me doesnt mean i am gone
It's official...I am no longer a sprint customer.
In one motion they changed my statement delivery method, killed online access to my account, and terminated service.
The action triggered an email sent to me by at 4pm that my online billing method had been changed.
Bad juju, bad juju.

I am going to try the thrill, and maybe att will get the sg2 soon....but I really like htc....so it will be the inspire in the end (we already have one and I love it..same roms that are on the evo..no hdmi out no front cam tho)

Mostly I wanted to update this as there was question on whether they would actually term service ...and they did. No ETF...
I activated an old phone and sold the evo to a guy last week with clean esn
I'm confused, so you changed your online billing, or the email from sprint was about your online billing? Sorry if this is completely obvious to everyone else, long day lol.

7/15 received term letter from sprint statin 8/2 term date
7/19 talked to sprint...claim error and no term will take place
7/24 received letter dated 7/21 reminding service will be terminated
8/2...at 4pm i got an auto email that my billing preferences had been changed. I did not change them. Tried loging on at sprint.com and my account login no longer works. Tried calling my sprint number and i am told it is a non working number.
So...they obviously changed my billing from online statements to mail....killed my online account access...and then terminated service
i should receive final bill in the mail next week. The email is just how i know when they did it. The system sends you an email any time a change is made to your account...you know...for security purposes.
DAMN. That's pretty low. Just out of now where your account was gone, information changed...

ive been using a vzw prl for the last week or so... lets see how long it takes for sprint to get ticked off lol ive been using it as a hotspot, dl'ing a ton, and streaming with it
Sprint finally cancelled both of my lines for a roaming violation. Excessive data roaming. They have a limit listed in their agreement that says 300 mb in a month. I exceeded that for almost a year I think.
Got tired of paying for data I would never get. Verizon has great service and 4G here I just dont know what phone to get. Thinking the Nexus is the way to go, wish it wasnt 300 with an agreement though. Thoughts on vzw phones? Ive been out of the game for a few months.
I also received a brand new EVO 3D yesterday as an insurance replacement, actually my gf did, its purpleish though, nothing a cover wont fix. If anyone wants to buy it PM me.

I would research the Nexus forums and ask. I've heard of some folks having problems with the radios. My buddy has one, biggest problem he has is the battery.

It goes well man. Seems like you were away for a while too. I still have a serious amount of posts. Just dropping in for the final update, me and sprint are parting ways after they canceled me with no warning last night. Kept me on hold for 2 hours today, seriously. You'll probably find me in the Nexus forum soon.
Still love my Evo, I will keep it forever. Sadly it is just a Wifi toy now. My gf got that E3d, its not bad actually. She likes it but then again her phone before that was a samsung intercept which is called a smart phone but its basically a feature phone.
Whats new with you? rocking any new tech I need to know about?
How is the themeing progressing granite?
I dont like the vzw phones really, they have like 17 versions of the droid im not interested in. I was hoping they would get the One X but it doesnt look like it. Maybe a new Incredible soon. Only option I like is the Nexus. Maybe I'll get an iphone . Probably what I'll get the gf but she doesnt know how to use MS word so it makes perfect sense.
