I'm finally about to upgrade from my old Env Touch (bad phone, went through 4 of them) to the Android platform. I'm just stuck deciding on which one i should get for Verizon, i'm stuck between the Incredible 2 or the Droid X2, or maybe even wait for the Bionic.

Any tips would be appreciated, i just want a good overall phone, and an attractive UI.

Welcome to the AndroidForums, greengob1in (nice name, btw ;)).

Well, you've listed three very excellent phones, so I'm not sure you'd go wrong with any of them. They are all pretty new, big, fast, with excellent screen resolutions (of course, the Bionic is not yet out, but is expected on or about September 8th).

My best advice would be to visit a Verizon store and get some hands-on time with each before making your decision. I also think you often have 30 days to check out a phone before you can return it (for a nomimal restocking fee, of course).

So, do a little research here at AF and try 'em out.

    Cheers!

Well, I have good feelings towards HTC since it was my first smartphone and regarding the Eris's ability to be unlocked (it certainly was not easy, though--the Eris wasn't rooted for quite a while after it was first released, and even then it was through an engineering ROM that was leaked). Subsequently, there've been several ways root has been achieved and HTC is going to provide means for future unlocking of their bootloaders, which is very cool.

All that being said, I also love my Droid X...its been an awesome phone in every respect but one: a locked bootloader. Moto's really locked things down pretty tightly and there's not much hope that future phones will be unlocked. Motorola phones are also known for their excellent hardware quality and strength of their antennas...which I've also experienced.

Both good companies, but it kind of depends on what you are looking for...you can probably tell that rooting is kind of a factor for me ;).

    Cheers!
