so i got an LG Optimus S about 2 weeks ago and i love it, android is amazing,:D so now i joined this site to learn more tips and tricks to my phone, my current question is that i seemed to have lost or deleted the messaging widget that came with the phone, i dont know how this happened but when ever i want to put the widget on the home it does not show up under widgets, what do i do to restore it?

Welcome to the forums...... I'm sorry to hear you are having that issue maybe a glitch in the software.... this may sound crazy but from personal experience have you tried restarting the phone? also if you dont mind loosing everything you could always try a master reset.....

IMO the standard messaging apps are a PO...... you may like the app Handcent..... some may disagree with me but its the best messaging app.... and has a lot nicer widget than most standard ROMS have.....

Hello that is good you figured it out....
actually there is a board dedicated to the LG Optimus S. It is towards the bottom of the home page. They will be able to help you with any problems you may have. I can't speak personally for the Optimus S community but if they are like the other communities I have been apart of they will be happy to help you with anything from turning your phone on to rooting.....

No matter how stupid you may think the question may be don't be afraid to ask it....

On a side note if the Optimus S is like the T you are going to love that phone (my brother has it so I get to mess around with it.)

I have provided a direct link to the S forum:

Once again welcome to the community and enjoy.
