Hi, everyone. I am new please help

I have HTC EVO 4G. I try to install some Apps (say Evernotes). But message says "Your device isn't compatible with this version.

MY EVO 4G had Andriod 2.3.5. Maybe that is the problem. Please teach me how to upgrade my andriod version.

Welcome!
Without rooting, I believe that is the highest version you can go on that device as it has reached the end of its update life.
However, you can root and flash a custom rom that has a higher version
