For several years I was deeply involved in the IOS ecosystem. This past June I was ready for an upgrade and was pretty fed up with Apple, so I looked around and was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of android phones. I ended up getting an HTC One (Stealth Black ) and I love it. Anways, I'm planning on getting a new device soon and was trying to decide between the new Nexus 7 (hopefully to be unveiled tommorow ) and the Ubuntu Edge crowdfunding project. Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

I actually use a very old first-gen iPad right now, and I'm considering getting the new Nexus 7 as well, if it ticks all the boxes for me (I also want to down-size a little bit).

Thanks for the warm welcome! Do you know what time the Google event starts tommorow? Is 4.3 expected to bring anything interesting and new?

Not sure on the time, I follow the rss feeds of a bunch of tech blogs so I'll just see stuff as it pours in haha.

The only thing I've heard of that's interesting to me is the ability to properly give 3rd party apps notification controls (so stuff like smart watches or status bar replacements or other things like HOLO)
