....La Sagrada, Las Ramblas, the sardana, cold beers and tapas, some of the friendliest people you could hope to meet.... and the Pyrenees only three hours away. It's been too long.

Well, in fact the Pyrenees is only one hour and a half from Barcelona, but congratulations for your knowledge!
(In fact, sometimes you can ski in the morning and go to the beach afternoon)

Now, I see that "american people don't know anything but their country", it's only an urban legend.
