Hi. Got my first smartphone, got some questions

Hi all. So I just got a motoroi with android 2.1 and got some questions about it:

- Is it possible to update to android 2.2? Would it be worth it?

- I know there's an app to disable automated tasks so the battery will last longer. Does anyone know which?

- I usually visit a site called goear (like youtube, but only audio music files) and the corresponding app for android is downear, but it kinda sucks. Know about a good equivalent?

- How can I send mails with office attachments? I tried with hotmail & gmail, but when I browse my files, the phone only shows images, not word or excel files.

Updating depend on if 2.2 is available for your phone. If it isn't you'd have to root or live with 2.1

If your motorolla has a battery manager, use that. Also turn off all the auto sycs for things you dont use or need and adjust the settings according to whats eating battery and youll be fine

Download a file manager like astro. Then when you hit attach choose the file manager and you can browse all the sd files for your attachment
