Root Hi,I'm having a hard time rooting my huawei m860?

I've been trying forever to root my huawei ascend. Is there anyone that can help a first time 3G/touch phone user through this dilema?

Did you download Z4root? If so it is pretty simple, one button access, I did it yesterday, big difference

Look for the tutorial, it is step by step helpfull...

Does this video apply to Cricket as well or is rooting with Cricket different than rooting with Metro?

I'd say it's okay to go ahead and root but, Try to keep your phone close to stock. The rooting/unrooting is easy. Even restoring most bloatware (Metro apps) is easy. Just avoid erasing anything google or removing the web browser or any other primary features. Make sure to do a back up with Titanium. Good luck!
