hi my samsung galaxy ace is not starting

hello, i got a samsung galaxy ace for christmas and its not starting up, the start up screen is continuesly playing. it normally does the start up screen and then it goes on to the lock screen. but its not going on to the lock screen!!! please help!!

Welcome to the site, have you tried a battery pull to see if that gets it working, if not then I will direct you to your device forum for proper support, I am sure will will best help you there.

I would suggest to take Don's advice before doing anything else first, sometimes issues like these can be solved with a battery pull.

Otherwise you might want to try a factory reset from booting up into recovery mode. This can be done by holding Sound Up/Down and pressing the power button.
