    Hello there!
Inching closer to rooting my new Ascend! - I'm def computer savvy but new to the Droid and to rooting. I'm confident that I can handle Z4 but now that I've delved into researching Titanium BU I'm more worried about navigating that now! My main reason for rooting would be to get rid of the Metro "Hello Hello Hello", but will eventually remove some apps that I don't want... My question is... If I root and D/L Titanium Pro, can I change the power up audio without dealing too much with Tit BU for now? Thank you all for your help, and for this forum which after pouring over them all for weeks I find is the best!
P.S. I wish I could remember where I'd read this but "....there are two kinds of computer users, those who accept their devices for what they can do and those who want to see what it CAN do!"

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

If the audio you want to change is part of the boot animation, root access will give you system access which will be needed in order to change it...

    Hi Martimus!
...and thank you for replying. Yes, the "Hello..." audio is part of the the boot animation. I'd love to lose the Metro PCS image as well. I guess what I'm asking is this: I'm going to root, then D/L Titanium Pro which will be used only?? to back up apps and complete the uninstall once I've decided to uninstall them? So, Tit bu really has nothing to do with changing the boot animation and/or audio? Would that be correct?

I've watched this one too! I like this guy's vids - they're clear and you can actually see the phone! Is he on this board?
