I'm new to the smart phone world so I'm still learning how to use my phone efficiently. I'm still trying to figure out how to stop unwanted apps from running. Anyway, it's nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the forums! Hope you find this place as useful as I have!! :)

You should be able to find a sub-forum that is for your device. If you have specific questions, then you'd be best posting there, as other users will be able to offer their help! :D

    Welcome to the forums! :)

Which device do you have? Android is actually pretty good at app management so it will kill apps when it doesn't need them.

    Welcome to Android Forums!

You'll become a master of your phone in time. Take it easy and enjoy. As for stopping apps, don't. Android does that far better on its own. Manny of those apps listed as "running" are actually just sitting there waiting to run or be dumped to make room for new apps.

If you want to understand exactly how Android's task manager works you can read this thread where it has been discussed extensively.
