    Everyone might already know about this but...

    If you place your finger on the top bar, for example on the time in the top right hand corner, a second bar will appear. Without lifting your finger, slide your finger down to open the box. To close it you can slide it up from the bottom or tap the dot in the middle of the bottom bar.

    is there any way to make this easier? It is kind of a PITA to read your notifications.

    There are alot of apps that make notifications easier... SMSPopup (i think) is one... it'll pop open a notification window that you can respond too. Or you can just open the SMS app instead of using the notification pull down (=

    No one says ya need to use it; the app store would prob suite your needs if you look hard enough.

    I know! I ran to my phone expecting a new "egg" and expecting to see a 2nd notify bar ={

    If you press menu of the home screen and hit "Notifications" it does the same thing without dragging

    I wasn't making fun of you or anything :p

    The notification blind is one of the iconic features of the Android operating system. It would be like explaining how to use the start menu in windows.

    If you had never seen an Android device before, however, I can see how this functionality would not be obvious.

    Yea it was funny because I bet you had a lot more people other than who posted running to there Inc. just to see this new revelation you described in great detail. No harm meant from the comments though

    The reason it is not funny is cause it is hard to figure out how to use.

    My first intuition when I see an icon is to click it, not hold it for a couple of seconds, then drag it across the screen. What can't I just click the mofo?

    You don't have to hold it. Just a quick downward drag on the bar at the top will pull the notification blind down.

    This is the type of stuff to remember when people talk crap on iphone. any idiot can use an iphone without having to come to a forum or open up in a manual.

    Oh I have an email. Let me touch it.. Ok now I see the email.

    The iPhone OS also consists of a bunch of icons and that's it. Android has more functionality. The notification bar really isn't that complicated.

    For those who rely on others to do the thinking for them, it is immensely complicated. The iPhone is an expensive pacifier.

    Exactly, if you cant drag your finger down from the top of the screen then you are an idiot. I had the 1st iPhone and the iPhone 3G until android came out. Your not going to know everything about a phone that is why people come to forums and do research when the phone is announced.

    So can you honestly say you didn't learn anything new from a phone or a product that you didn't see in a forum or a review or just by researching?
