High pitched noise on GNex Charger

does anyone else notice a constant high pitched noise that comes out of the galaxy nexus charger that came with the phone? i tried plugging the charger in every outlet and it's noticeable everywhere i try it. it's not too noticeable if you have background noise, but it's somewhere quiet such as where you sleep, it's LOUD. what's strange is that i hear it only when it's not plugged into the phone, only when left in the outlet alone.

Its the transformer in the charger, not much that can be done about it other then replace it.

I can tell you that I don't have this problem.
- I'm even using a black berry charger to charge my phone and it works fine.

I had the same problem with a motorola charger in certain outlets. Don't know what caused it. If its really bothering you i would ask verizon for a new one

I had this issue. It went away when the charger was plugged into my phone, but when I exchanged my phone I had Verizon replace the charger as well. New charger does not squeal, thankfully.

My OEM charger (small square) does make the noise you are referencing. And yes, it goes away when the phone is plugged in.

Sucks because I like having multiple chargers but they only cost about $2.
