High Quality Pictures in People App

Good morning everyone. I wanted to open discussion about getting high quality photos in the people app for contacts.
I know on the Droid X, it would sync with facebook, but that is not avaialbe currently on the Nexus.
I originally downloaded the app 'syncmypix' but that did not provide high-res photos, but it was a start.

I came across this app (it is $0.99) but does work fairly well. Haxsync claims to pull high-res photos from facebook.

How to use:
1.) Install official Facebook App.
2.) Go to Settings => Accounts & Sync.
3.) Click "Add Account" => HaxSync.
4.) Click "Authorize HaxSync".
5.) Confirm Authorization
6.) Wait for HaxSync to finish syncing.
7.) You should now see your Facebook contacts in the Android "People"-App.

Feel free to help provide more information! I'm still trying to determine the best way to get photos onto my Nexus.

Update: Told a friend about it and when he started syncing, it only updated 20 of his 900 contacts. So it may not be fool proof. Anyone else having success/failure?

from what I can see it requires a little bit of manual work. Overall I'm a little unhappy with the massive amounts of data and sync with ICS in general and there is no way to delete contacts unless you go to the physical contact on the google contacts page on the web but I'll work through that I guess.

The "issue" with this seems to be that your contact in your phone( on your google account) need to have the EXACT same name as on their FB account.

so if John Doe is John N Doe on FB and then John D in your contacts ...no sync

I tried it and it did sync all of my contacts and showed their last FB update (nice feature), but the contact photo's did not appear to be high resolution. They are about the same as FriendCaster. Low resolution contact photo's have been my biggest gripe with Android phones...For now I have to do manual work-a-rounds to solve the issue.

I'm using a beta ICS rom on Desire and the only application i found out there which gives me both high resolution pictures and my friends' latest FB status is the one called Contapps and it's free on Market.
You can try it.
