I am a coach and I use a video camera at practice all the time. My old LG Dare had a video "High Rate" option to record in so play back would be in slow motion. I found this very helpful for reviewing technique with athletes. I just got a Droid X and would love to find an app that would do something similar. I don't really know if I need high rate capture but I definitely want a slow motion replay and even pause and frame by frame replay.

I would appreciate any help finding one.

If you are recording for a team, you should probably be using an actual video camera, not a cell phone camera.

THat feature of high frame rate video works very well on the Dare. I have been asking about this for months! This would be an app i would pay for!

I coach and individual sport. I use a video camera for competitions however at practice it isn't realistic to do that. There are times I want an athlete to see themselves in their technique and since I always have my phone on me so it is easy to record a short clip. The High Rate made it real easy to show them and I am just looking for something similar with the Droid X.

I thought you could just go into the video mode option on the X and select slow motion to record it in slow motion.

I don't see how to record in slow motion, can you give me instructions on how to do it on the X?

Open the Camcorder app, then hit your far left hard key button. The one with the 4 dots on it. It should put up a tab that has 3 options of Video Modes, Tags, and Settings. Click on Video Modes and then select slow motion from the 4 options of Normal, Slow, Video Message and Fast Motion.

I will check it out. Do other Droids have this feature as well or is only the Droid X?

I have never messed with any other Droids so i am not sure, i have never used this mode on my X. But thought i would throw it out there to see if it will work for what you are looking to do.

Why input when you have nothing to say that's going to help?

This one is easy....use the V1 Golf app. I am a PGA Professional and use it for teaching golf, but it's not only limited to golf. After recording a video, you can go frame by frame in slow motion, draw lines, circles, angles, etc. It is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it.
