Accessories High Speed Car Charger?

Does anyone else struggle to charge their phones from their computers? My wall charger that came with the phone seems to be the only way to get my phone fully charged.

I assume the difference is that USB provides .5 amps, but the OEM wall charger does 1 amp.

I want that same charging speed in my car. None of the chargers in the sticky mention 1 amp capacity. Am I missing something here, or does everyone just use .5A chargers?

btw, I have a 3000mah battery, so it of course takes twice as long to charge as stock. The 1A power of the wall charger is a necessity for me.

Try the charger for the palm pre it is one amp (iirc) and works great I use mine in my work truck

if the phone senses a data connection (usb port on pc) it will limit charging to 500mah. the same works for a majority of car chargers with a usb port.

the solution is to either short the data pins on the car charger or buy a charger that is both hard wired with micro usb and has a 1000mah rate
