Over heated or battery is completely drained. Give it time on the charger or time to cool off.

Next time you think ur thread titles good, rethink it. People are less likely to help with a title not pertaining to ur issue.

I had to do a battery pull and this fixed the problem. Make sure you are charged. Also give more info...are you running a custom ROM?

Flashing light when not on is usually overheated.

In my experience (I currently am stuck with one that overheats constantly), if your phone is overheating it will first go into a reboot loop. This, ironically, causes it to heat up even more. After several loops, it ends up just sticking at the white HTC Incredible splash screen until you pull the battery. I have this happen several times per day (over the course of the last 3 weeks) and I have never once had what the OP describes.

Long story short, I don't think it is a heat issue.
