heard from one other that people were talking about this problem in the .3 and the .6 builds but i cant find the thread

its really frustrating to exit an app in landscape to go back to it in portrait to have it stuck on landscape for up to 5 seconds. i have the .3 build and my dad has the .6 build, and his is instant

just wondering if others are having the same problem, and if its version specific

i dont ever remember having this problem with 2.1

if there is a thread on this already i apologize, i cannot find it

    [Solved]

fixed by installing the 2.2 ruu from here

I can kind of see what you're talking about. I went to an app that rotates and changed to landscape. While in landscape I hit the home button and the home screen comes up sideways as expected. Rotated the phone back to portrait mode and started the app back up. You can see it start to load in landscape and then switches to portrait.

For me, it depends on the app but it's almost instant. It's probably a case of Android trying to anticipate how you use apps by remembering the last orientation. I have to try to remember to check it after I get the next update. Not doing the RUU just to get .6 at this point. Glad it worked for you though.

alot were not having this problem but from what ive seen in other threads a few were. i dont know why so few were. but with .3 i tried doing a hard reset and it was doing the same thing. but with .6 its fixed. doesnt make sense to me either im just happy i dont have to stare for up to 5 seconds waiting for the screen to rotate lol
