I've had this phone for a week or two now and suddenly my Home key doesn't 'click' any more. I also have to push it much harder than I used to to get it to do anything (no, I haven't dropped it yet!).

Has anyone had this happen and if so is there a fix?

If, as a suspect, not is there any really easy way to back up all my settings and apps so that I can easily have the replacement set up exactly as I've got this one set up? (Android noob here)

This is almost certainly a hardware failure that you will not be able to fix yourself and clearly shouldn't happen on a nearly new phone - time to return it.

    As for backups, it depends.

Kies for Mac (ie what I have the pleasure to use) is even more useless than Kies for Windows and one of things it doesn't do is backups. I am informed (I don't know how reliably) that Kies for Windows will allow you to do a complete backup so I suggest you explore that option.
