Home page resets after reboot

I just received a Specter 8 tablet. When I set up my home page and then restart, all my changes disappear and I'm left with the original home page. What is wrong, and how do I fix it?

never seen or heard of your device. its not an android feature to reset homepage after rebooting.....so i'm not so sure what is going on. but i rarely, turn off my devices. i only turn them off if get a glitch or something went wrong.

There might not be a lot you can do about this. Apparently your Specter 8 tablet run's a modified, Android Go operating system. Go is a stripped down, low-resource variant of Android intended only for use in budget devices. So there will be limitations as to how much it can be configured, plus depending on how Q-Link, its supplier, configured your tablet there 'could' be additional restrictions, even for something as basic as the Home screen and what other supplemental screens you might add. But that's just supposition too.
Also, it might be worth noting that Q-Link is currently under multiple Federal investigations so long-term support from Q-Link could be an issue.
