    Hey guys,
I only just noticed this problem today on my Moto G (2015). I've recently upgraded to Android 6, and have not had any problems until now. Basically, this morning the right side of my home screen had been cut off - almost as if it had been squashed to fit a smaller space. All my other apps work fine, and the wallpaper still reaches the edge of the screen! Any ideas? And no, my phone isn't rooted.

And please, no comments about that wallpaper!!!!!

You've not changed the grid size in the launcher? (Some launchers allow that, don't know about the one you are using).

Well, I didn't even know you could do that... I'm using the standard Motorola launcher, I think... I haven't changed anything!

You can with most replacement launchers. I don't know about the Motorola one, but few if any built-in launchers have the feature. Can you move icons or widgets into the empty column, or does it just not let you do that? That might give some clue as to what's happening.

I assume you've tried trivial things like rebooting the device, and haven't been messing round with screen densities (which I think would require root).

Well. It literally is just cut off at the side. When I try and move icons over, they go into the next screen to the right - and it appears from the edge of said empty column. And yes, I rebooted the device, which fixed it - for only a few minutes, before it reappeared. As for screen densities... You've lost me!

Fixed for a few minutes and then spontaneously reappeared - I don't like the sound of that. Does the screen misbehave in other apps, or is it just the launcher?

What if you press and hold the power button until it restarts (how you normally simulate a battery pull on a device with a non-removable battery).

It's just the launcher - I'll get back with the simulated battery pull!

Just the launcher is at least good news. Doesn't mean I know what the problem is, but if it was everywhere I'd be worrying about this being a hardware fault.

OK, the battery pull worked a treat - until now. Just unlocked my phone after sitting idle for around 15 mins - a normal useage day, BTW, and the problem has returned. Not being the kind of person that likes to reset his phone all the time, anyone got a solution?

Apart from start using a different launcher? No idea on a solution.
