I notice that on my wife's HTC Thunderbolt, any attempt to change the settings of the Search parameters (Menu/Settings/Search) results in absolutely no change in the phone's hard button Search (magnifying glass in the lower right corner of the phone). Its dropdown menu never reflects the changes I make in the settings screen noted above.
However, on my HTC Evo Shift, changes in my Menu/Settings/Search screen are reflected in the dropdown menu I see in the Google Search widget I see when I hit the Home Search hard button.
Can someone explain this and how to get around it (the first paragraph above)?
