General hong kong battery

    anyone ever ordered one of those batteries from ebay that comes with wall charger for the eris?? how was it??

    I got the wall charger for my spare battery that I bought from Verizon. Charger works great.

    Not that everything isn't made in China these days, but I wouldn't trust something like that running my phone. Something made improperly could cause damage to the phone and many of the Hong Kong sellers on ebay are offering inferior products. Some may be fine, but from what I have experienced the quality control is pretty lousy. JMO

    I got the charger and battery. Both are great. Sadly, the 1500 mAh battery doesn't take you that much further than the stock one. I loved the price though!

    I know it won't last much longer but was thinking it is a good spare. The possible quality issue is what worries me.

    For the most part, you will get what you pay for. Unless you catch a reputable brand on sale for a screaming deal, if you pay very little for something that normally costs way more, you will most likely get a crappy product.

    Yeah I am sure I took a huge risk when I put that battery in my phone. Luckily, everything seems to be okay now. I probably wouldn't risk it again though.... So I guess the best thing would be to spring for a better one.

    I bought the $50 seidio extended battery, but I bought the cheapo charger off ebay for it... I probably won't even really use it often, but maybe just when I travel and will use my stock battery as a backup. I hope it charges my new battery ok. I haven't recieved either items yet.

    I bought the seidio 1750MaH battery and the seidio wall charger that will charge the phone (Eris) and an extra battery at the same time. Both work great.

    i agreee the 1750 is really good and definitely worth the extra cash.

    I'll 3rd that Seido 1750 battery it is awesome and after a week gives a very nice bump in phone life. Definitely worth it imo

    i bought an $11 2000mAh extended battery for my vogue off of ebay in the past. it lasted longer the first week then it was just as good if not worse than the stock battery.:rolleyes::(

    I bought one of the $10 1500mAh batteries from Hong Kong on ebay. It arrived in about 7 days, which was alot quicker than I thought it would arrive. So far it has worked just fine and I get a touch more time out of it than the stock 1300mAh battery. I am keeping my stock battery as a backup just in case.
