Help Honor 8S cannot hard reset

Hello,

We have an HONOR 8S 32GB Mobile Phone. We've forgotten the PIN.

Tried to hard reset by pressing power and volume up keys. The EMUI screen appears but then it says "Software install failed!" and only a "Rebooot system now" button is visible.

Any help would be appreciated.
