    Hi.
When I import images to my Android device for backgrounds etc. the colors are very pixelated, as if a jpg-file were compressed very hard. It is as if the phenomenon is most severe with dark colors

Are any of you experiencing the same? Should I use a specific file format or compression method for the images I'm using?

    Thanks-

Do you mean a colour gradient? It's a known problem associated with the gallery app. Download wallpaper set and save from the market.

Yes, thanks - that was the right keyword (color gradient). I converted the background image to 640x480, used PNG, installed the Wallpaper set and save-app and after that images look far better. There's still a slight color gradient, but far better than before.
    Thanks
